Nas talks Grammy nomination for “Daughters” with MTV News [VIDEO]

Through Nas, fans received a bit of nostalgia, as his Life is Good album took his music back to its roots. As the game changed, so did Nas, who continued to release albums throughout the 2000s. But, Nas brought back the 1990s on his tenth studio album and now feels as if he cannot stop making music.

Nas’ efforts on Life is Good earned him a nomination at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, his first-ever Grammy nomination. Most hip hop fans spoke out against Nas’ first Grammy nomination, feeling he should have already won Grammys. Making his media rounds, Nas felt impartial to his nomination.

While Nas was impartial, he was indeed in Los Angeles at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. “Daughters” is Nas’ critically-acclaimed single and the song opens up on the personal life of the famed rapper. MTV News recently spoke to Nas and he said being nominated was cool, but he was glad his daughter did not think he was corny.
