Since Rick Ross’ shooting earlier this week, there has been a lot of talk about the shooting. A number of rappers and people in hip hop have spoken on the situation. Maybach Music, itself, however, has remained silent. Even with all of the additions to Maybach Music, Gunplay is still considered Rick Ross’ right-hand man.
Last year, Gunplay came close to becoming a household name. While Gunplay failed to release his long-awaited Bogota, he did release 601 & Snort. Gunplay even scored a hit with his single, “Take This.” But, Gunplay’s primary focus is now his upcoming Def Jam debut, Medellin, which is due later this year.
With his crew leader recently attacked, Gunplay spoke to HipHopDX.com about the aftermath of the situation. Speaking on Rick Ross, Gunplay said he recently spoke to Rick Ross and he is doing good after being shot at. While Rick Ross’ vehicle was hit several times, his actual body remained unharmed.
