Though he flew under the radar, with strong debuts from 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, and Meek Mill, among many others, Machine Gun Kelly has built a devoted fan base. Signed to Bad Boy Records during the summer of 2011, Machine Gun Kelly has a devoted following and his music has reached a peak in popularity.

Commercially successful, Machine Gun Kelly is often referred to as MGK. Many feel this is to tone down on the violent tone of his song. With the countless other debut albums, MGK was overlooked with his classic, Lace Up. Now, following up with his album, Machine Gun Kelly has a new mixtape in the works.

Rap-Up.com recently spoke to Machine Gun Kelly about the difference between his moniker and his ‘MGK’ nickname. In addition to talking about his names, Machine Gun Kelly also talked about his mixtape. Among the features on the mixtape will be Wiz Khalifa, Chevy Woods, and also Pusha T.
