Big K.R.I.T. talks new mixtape, “1 Train,” and more with Hip Hop Since 1987 [VIDEO]

It was David Banner who put Mississippi hip hop on the map, but there have been many other artists to carry the baton. Back in 2010, Big K.R.I.T. caught the attention of many and signed to Def Jam. Despite signing with Def Jam, Big K.R.I.T. faced countless delays on his album before releasing it in the summer of 2012.

Since releasing his album, Big K.R.I.T. has not captured many headlines. But, he does have plans of releasing another mixtape. Big K.R.I.T. intends to get a jump on 2013, doing so with his new music. Already, Big K.R.I.T. has appeared on A$AP Rocky’s single, “1 Train,” alongside Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, and others.

When Big K.R.I.T. last trekked to Philadelphia, he spoke to Hip Hop Since 1987. During the interview, Big K.R.I.T. spoke on his upcoming mixtape. The name of Big K.R.I.T.’s new mixtape is K.R.I.T. (King Remembered In Time) and he also spoke on his “1 Train” single.
