Hip hop has gone through so many changes that the early 2010s are starting to resemble the early 1990s. Since rising to fame, working on records from The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z, DJ Premier has remained a strong figure in hip hop. Joey Bada$$ is credited by many for bringing the 1990s back to hip hop and recently worked with DJ Premier.

DJ Premier also contributed to Game’s Jesus Piece album. The song entitled “Heaven For a Gangsta” was produced by DJ Premier. Ultimately, Game decided not to include this track on his album, however. Still, DJ Premier has been on a strong run over the past couple of months.

Recently, DJ Premier spoke to Al Lindstrom and he spoke on his work with Joey Bada$$ and Game. DJ Premier revealed he met Joey Bada$$ through Twitter and revealed Game did not use “Heaven For a Gangsta” because it was completed after the deadline. During the interview, DJ Premier also revealed his friendship with 2 Chainz, praising his work.
