Common talks Chief Keef situation with “The Morning Riot” [AUDIO]

Chicago is one of hip hop’s most diverse cities, as the city has produced such names as Common, Kanye West, Twista, Lupe Fiasco and now Chief Keef. Each of these five artists are distinctly different, but have all offered opinions on Chief Keef. Controversial from the start, Chief Keef is set to spend the next two months behind bars.

Kanye West gave Chief Keef an immediate co-sign, while Lupe Fiasco expressed concern in the lifestyle he portrays. Recently, Twista also offered an opinion and explained that his lyrics have been his way of life. Common has been one noticeably absent Chicago rapper in the Chief Keef discussion.

But, when Common called in to 107.5 WGCI’s “The Morning Riot,” he offered his opinion on the Chief Keef situation. Saying it is all about choices, Common offered Chief Keef his support. Most importantly, Common said something has to be done about the Chicago inner city problems to help change this situation.
