Last year, Common was relatively silent. Common started the year out as one of the most-discussed artists. Coming into 2012, Common was fresh off the release of his comeback album, The Dreamer, The Believer. During this time, Common and Drake were also trading disses, via Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin” with French Montana.
At the 2012 NBA All-Star Game, Common and Drake would officially meet and shake hands. Since then, Common has played the role of teammate for G.O.O.D. Music. While he is on Cruel Summer, Common is not as prominently featured as Kanye West, Pusha T, and Big Sean.
Common has been just fine with that, as his primary focus has been acting, which he told DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45. The next film Common is starring in is called LUV and his next mixtape may feature Lupe Fiasco. During the interview, Common would also speak on Serena Williams’ booty and the Drake feud.
