A decade ago, 50 Cent was labeled “new money” by the high class. At least, that’s what he claimed on Game’s “How We Do.” Now, 50 Cent is in the position to bankroll projects. Shawty Lo was in need of a situation like this when he signed with G-Unit Records. Despite having no secure backing, G-Unit Records is the distributor of D4L Records. With Young Buck out of the picture, the label needed a new star from the South. Atlanta seemed to be the right place to start. Shawty Lo delivered his latest track, “New Money,” which features Atlanta’s up-and-coming stars, Ca$h Out and Young Scooter.
