Two years ago, Juicy J decided to focus on his solo career. Until this point, most of the energy Juicy J had went into Three 6 Mafia. However, Juicy J made the decision to move forward with his career. Already making an impact with his mixtapes, Juicy J began taking it more seriously.

In 2011, Juicy J began catching the attention of the hip hop world. Juicy J’s rising solo success coincided with the emergence of Wiz Khalifa. The two wound up meeting and hit it off. During the fall of 2011, Juicy J signed with Taylor Gang and took on an executive role earlier this year.

Juicy J recorded “Bands a Make Her Dance,” his strip club anthem, in 2012. The song caught the attention of the world. During his recent tour stop in Los Angeles, Juicy J discussed the making of his breakout single with Hot New Hip Hop. Juicy J also spoke on his longevity in the rap game and his Stay Trippy album.
