Early in September, Kanye West was getting the world ready for Cruel Summer, which is due for a September 18 release. Before the album came, Kanye West delivered hits with “Theraflu/Way too Cold/Cold,” with DJ Khaled, “Mercy,” with Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz, and the “I Don’t Like (remix),” with Pusha T, Big Sean, and Jadakiss. The anticipation was already high for the project.

Even with all of those hits, Kanye West had one more in store. During the opening days of September, Kanye West released “Clique.” Opened by Big Sean, the single featured a verse from Jay-Z. Now a rarity, Jay-Z returned for Kanye West and all three emcees put on brilliant performances.

Three months after the release of “Clique,” the song has continued to pick up momentum and radio play. “Clique” has done well and the sales have gone as expected. Now, Kanye West and Jay-Z have another platinum plauqe to add to their collection, as “Clique” has passed the 1 million mark.
