Given the type of music they make, not many would have expected Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) and Mannie Fresh to work together. But, Mannie Fresh has made it clear he is a fan of all music. Since his 2005 departure from Cash Money Records, Mannie Fresh has branched out and worked on all types of music.
After a rather quiet 2011, Mos Def made big plans for 2012. The first of these plans was changing his name to Yasiin Bey. Following the name change came his work on new music. Surprising many, still, Yasiin Bey chose to work with Mannie Fresh, who is branching himself out.
“OMFGOD” is the name of the song Yasiin Bey and Mannie Fresh are working on together. Since August, the two have been leaking clips to the internet. Each clip shows a different part of the song being made. Today, the third clip of the “OMFGOD” single was released.
