Four years of grinding on the New York City mixtape scene paid off for French Montana who caught the attention of the world. Familiar with the major players of the industry, after working with Akon, French Montana caused a bidding war. Coming close to signing with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music, French Montana kept things local.
In December 2011, French Montana revealed he decided to sign with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. Joining Red Cafe and Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana brought new life to the label. Since then, French Montana has become an honorary member of both Maybach Music and YMCMB.
The Crosby Press recently spoke to French Montana, who had tasted Absinthe for the first time. In addition to speaking on Absinthe, French Montana discussed his millionaire lifestyle. Birdman was mentioned, as French Montana said he loves hanging out with him and he discussed making music for a living.
