Primarily known as a rapper, Game has four number one albums under his belt. But, before he was nice on the microphone, Game was a beast on the basketball court. At the height of 6’4, Game had no choice but to ball. Growing up, Game was best friends with NBA star, Baron Davis.

Friends united by basketball, Game almost joined the NBA with Baron Davis, had things gone differently. When basketball was not a viable option, Game instead shifted his focus back to music. Ten years later, it is safe to say this move paid off for the Compton rapper.

Despite being known as one of the toughest forces in the rap game, Game still finds time to watch the NBA. A lot of his lyrics are inspired by the league, Game once bet $1 million that LeBron James would never win a title. Last year, Game offended many with “Martians vs. Goblins,” where he went as far as mentioning James’ mother.

Game is a fixture on Vlad TV, often stopping by to give his two cents on several topics. There is an undeniable connection between hip hop and the NBA, as several rappers almost chose basketball. During his interview with Vlad TV, Game would speak on the rivalry between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers. Being a Los Angeles native, Game obviously gave his support to the Kobe Bryant-led franchise.
