Suddenly, Shyne has become the biggest target in the rap game, which comes after his prison release was highly-anticipated. Shyne was expected to finally have his shot at the top of the rap game. In 1999, before the release of his Bad Boy Records debut album, Shyne got arrested after a shootout at Club New York in Manhattan.

While he was in prison, Shyne forged alliances with Game and Irv Gotti, among many other hip hop figures. Due to these alliances, Shyne made an enemy out of 50 Cent, but found himself in the company of Ja Rule, Jadakiss, Nas, and Fat Joe. Now, Ja Rule finds himself in prison and Shyne is exiled from the United States.

One comment about Kendrick Lamar has earned Shyne enemies, including Game and another West Coast artist, Nipsey Hussle. Shyne’s back-and-forth with Game has led to him being requested for several interviews with major media outlets. The latest outlet to speak with Shyne was Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” where he spoke on Game’s background and the backlash he is facing over calling good kid, m.A.A.d. city “trash.”
