Six years ago, Yung Joc was one of the newer artists to come out of Atlanta. Yung Joc was signed to Block Entertainment, which was partnered with Bad Boy Records at the time. With the label in need of a new star, Yung Joc quickly rose to the top of the Bad Boy roster. From the summer of 2006 through 2007, Yung Joc was one of rap’s biggest stars.

Yung Joc’s rise came during the middle of Atlanta’s explosion. During this period of time, other Atlanta stars born were Gucci Mane, Jody Breeze, Young Jeezy, and Gorilla Zoe. Out of those four artists, Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy experienced the most success. Ultimately, the two rappers began feuding.

Recently, the Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy re-started their feud. Gucci Mane would take shots at other rappers on the song, “Truth.” On the song, Gucci Mane called out T.I., who opted to remain silent. Yung Joc was also mentioned, called “broke,” to which he responded to Gucci Mane on Twitter, asking why he was dissing someone who actually liked him.
