Determined to gain hip hop stardom, 2 Chainz went over and beyond what many would have considered a comfortable position. Through Playaz Circle, his group with Dolla Boy, 2 Chainz was signed to Ludacris’ DTP Records. In 2007, the duo even released an album, which contained the “Duffle Bag Boy” single, featuring Lil Wayne.
Four years later, 2 Chainz made himself relevant, remixing popular songs and doing mixtapes. His consistency forced the game to take notice of the veteran rookie, who would eventually take the game over. Soon, it was popular rappers, such as 50 Cent, remixing his songs.
In a span of one year, 2 Chainz went from being one of the many Atlanta mixtape rappers to being one of the biggest rap stars, period. With their new series, “This Is How I Made It,” MTV first turned to 2 Chainz. The first episode premiered last night and 2 Chainz did just what the title suggests.
