It has been three years since Jay-Z last released an official new project. The Blueprint 3 was delayed from its initial 2008 release date. Ultimately, Jay-Z released The Blueprint 3 during the fall of 2009. After the release of the album, Jay-Z hinted at another project on the way, but the album never came.

Instead, Jay-Z teamed up with Kanye West and the two delivered Watch the Throne. Despite the release of this joint album, Jay-Z informed fans he did not have a solo project in the works. However, after introducing the world to Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the home of the Nets, Jay-Z announced his Live in Brooklyn EP.

With new releases from Rick Ross, Machine Gun Kelly, and Xzibit, fans were wondering where Jay-Z’s Live in Brooklyn EP was. However, Jay-Z recently announced Live in Brooklyn would be released on October 11. Pre orders are currently available on iTunes, though.
