G-Unit affiliate, Mike Knox, may have been a relative unknown one week ago, but everyone surely knows who he is now. In 2009, Rick Ross began his acsent to becoming the force in the game he is now. This rise began when Rick Ross took aim at 50 Cent. Surprisingly, the underdog came out on top and Rick Ross has not looked back since.
Rick Ross not only made himself into one of the most-notable stars in the game, he also branded his label, Maybach Music. Branching MMG out into much more than the parent company to his Triple Cs group, Maybach Music is the biggest force in the rap game. Wale and Meek Mill have become superstars under Ross’ watch and now Gunplay is rising to the same level.
At the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, Mike Knox and Gunplay both became two of the most-discussed names in the hip hop world. Footage of Mike Knox and company jumping Gunplay was leaked to the internet. Hours after the fight took place, both rappers were doing interviews about the scuffle. After speaking with Gunplay, Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” spoke with Mike Knox.
