The impact Kendrick Lamar is having on the rap game is incredible. Slowly, the veterans of the Los Angeles hip hop scene have moved aside to pass the baton to Kendrick Lamar. One year ago, Kendrick Lamar would work with Game and soon wound up being Dr. Dre’s protege. Now an insider at Aftermath Entertainment, the young rapper is preparing to release his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city.

In a little over two weeks, Kendrick Lamar plans to release his new album. The project is scheduled to be released on October 22. As the days wind down, Kendrick Lamar is releasing new songs from the album and making his media rounds. Back in New York City, Kendrick Lamar returned to “106 & Park” and he also returned to Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.”

During his latest interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Kendrick Lamar would discuss Dr. Dre, saying his long-awaited Detox album is complete. Surprising to many, Kendrick Lamar admitted he really is not too much of a weed smoker. Kendrick Lamar went on to discuss Kurupt’s influence and having his own Beats by Dre headphones line in the near future.
