One year ago, Kreayshawn had a viral hit on her hands with “Gucci Gucci.” The success of the song had taken the Bay Area pop mixtape rapper all the way to the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. A leaked freestyle, which dissed Rick Ross would lead to a confrontation between the two.
Kreayshawn, until this summer, had fallen out of the public eye after the Rick Ross situation. Her partner, V-Nasty, would work with Gucci Mane, releasing a joint street album, BAYTL. When Kreayshawn returned, she had a co-sign from 2 Chainz and still had beef with Game.
Now, Game and other detractors have their chance to get a laugh in at Kreayshawn. Last week, Kreayshawn released her Somethin ‘Bout Kreay debut album. A week after the album was released, it has sold 3,900 copies. The sales are among the lowest first week sales in history.
