With his latest album, T.I. has goals of returning to the same level he was on in 2008. It was following the release of T.I.’s 2008 album, Paper Trail, when he was sentenced to one year in prison. Due to good behavior, T.I. was able to reduce his prison stint to seven months and he began repairing his career.

Fast forward to 2012, T.I. served another year in prison and was released, focused on nothing but positive. T.I. reunited with B.o.B. and the two began releasing a series of songs. With help from DJ Drama, T.I. restored his presence on the streets. Before the end of 2011, T.I. even released a mixtape.

One year after his prison release, T.I. is focused on the release of his book, Trouble & Triumph, and his album, Trouble Man. T.I. has an all-star lineup on this album, including Andre 3000. In recent years, Andre 3000 has appeared on tracks with Young Jeezy, Beyonce, and many other big names, so it was only right he give T.I. a verse, which Tip calls the “best Andre 3000 verse.”

T.I. spoke on this during his interview with Hot 97’s “Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg.”
