The year of 2012 has been more of the same for Rick Ross, as he solidified his position as a star in the rap game, three years ago. Branching out and starting his Maybach Music label, the Miami native proved he could be a strong leader. During his feud with 50 Cent, Rick Ross displayed his strategic battling, aligning himself with Game, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, and Nas.
Looking back on it all, Rick Ross says he was preparing for the current moment, a moment when he and his crew are on top of the rap game. Last year, Rick Ross established his label, signing the Warner Bros. deal and signing Wale and Meek Mill. This year, Rick Ross has watched while Gunplay, Torch, and Young Breed have absorbed the spotlight.
Rick Ross has even had his own chance to bask in the spotlight, releasing his long-awaited album, God Forgives, I Don’t, back in July. Several music videos have come for songs off the project. “Amsterdam” was released last month and Rick Ross is now preparing visuals for the “Diced Pineapples” music video.
Earlier today, Rick Ross released several pictures of himself, via Instagram.
