The MTV Video Music Awards have become a popular outlet for hip hop artists to make announcements, along with many other things. Over the years, rappers have used the platform to premiere new songs and announce album release dates. Jay-Z has longtime been an innovator in the rap game, setting numerous records, as the first rapper to do a multitude of things.
While Jay-Z set multiple records and showed rappers how to become moguls, in a recession, it appeared as if he was having trouble becoming a father, for whatever reason. The media tried to speed things up with several rumors of Jay-Z’s wife, Beyonce, being pregnant. Last year, at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Beyonce revealed she was pregnant and gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter early in 2012.
With the MTV Video Music Awards now a platform to announce pregnancies, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose pick up where Jay-Z and Beyonce left off. Wiz Khalifa has proven to be a young mogul in the making, also setting many records. Since he began dating Amber Rose, there have been rumors of Wiz Khalifa getting her pregnant, those rumors reached new heights and they revealed their pregnancy on the red carpet of the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
