There has been so much talk about Dedication 4, it could almost be confused with an album, as it was initially due close to a month ago. Lil Wayne hit the mixtape scene hard, teaming up with DJ Drama, a few years ago. With his career peaking, after Tha Carter II was released, Lil Wayne took time off to do mixtapes.
While he was appearing in music videos with DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne was having DJ Drama host his mixtapes. Lil Wayne began working on many mixtapes, but the favorites among the fans was the Dedication series. The first three editions came before Tha Carter III was released.
The wait for Dedication 4 has been a long one. Anticipation was so high, at one point, there was a rumor created about Dedication 4 possibly being released as an album. Lil Wayne announced Dedication 4 as the prequel to I Am Not a Human Being 2. Earlier today, Wayne finally released Dedication 4 and DJ Drama was in tow, hosting once again.
