Even though he has enjoyed much mainstream success, DJ Drama has remained highly popular on the streets to. DJ Drama consistently releases mixtapes and still does hosting for many of the biggest and rising artists in the game. More frequently now, however, artists are releasing DJ Drama mixtapes and following them up with No-DJ versions.
Recently, iHipHop sat down with DJ Drama and they began discussing a wide number of topics over the course of several clips. The second part of the interview was recently released and during this part of the interview, DJ Drama spoke on artists releasing No-DJ versions of his tapes. Other topics were also mentioned in the interview.
DJ Drama went on to discuss the upcoming Lil Wayne mixtape, Dedication 4, along with such topics as how he chooses artists to work with. Though many other DJs have risen to prominence, many longtime hip hop fans view DJ Drama as one of the biggest in the game. Many rising DJs credit Drama as their primary inspiration.
