In a month, Lupe Fiasco plans to release his fourth studio album, Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1. Lupe Fiasco announced the album during the time he was promoting his previous album, Lasers. Though originally intended to be released in 2011, Lupe Fiasco does have the support of his label, allowing him to release albums in consecutive years.
Since May, Lupe Fiasco has been making his media rounds, discussing the sequel to his 2006 debut album. Along with discussing the new album, Lupe Fiasco has also leaked music from the upcoming project. Lupe Fiasco currently has out a few singles, among them “Around My Way” and “Bitch Bad,” for which he just premiered the video for.
As he did with his 2011 album, Lupe Fiasco has announced his next album. After releasing his upcoming album, Lupe Fiasco has plans of releasing Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 2. According to HipHopDX.com, Lupe Fiasco has already completed over 80% of the project.
