Amazing is one way to describe the run DJ Khaled has been on for the past six years, surpassing many other DJs. What began as a local Miami movement has since spread out to contain the bulk of the rap game. Back in 2006, DJ Khaled dreamed of reaching the heights he now does on a daily basis.
Still, what DJ Khaled might call his proudest moment was the moment when he not only landed Scarface and Nas for his Kiss the Ring album, but got them both on the same track. Over the past twenty years, few rappers have received the critical acclaim of Scarface and Nas. An amazing feat for the once-Miami based DJ.
Before DJ Khaled reigned supreme, DJ Green Lantern was among the biggest DJs in the game, alongside DJ Drama and DJ Whoo Kid. While on his promo run in New York City, the cameras of Hip Hop Vibe’s partners, Heavy Dedication TV followed Khaled to his interview with DJ Whoo Kid, where he discussed the track between Scarface and Nas.
