Last summer, Fred the Godson began to establish himself as one of the many future stars hailing from New York City. Like French Montana, Fred the Godson hails from The Bronx and had an incredible underground buzz. DJ Drama linked with Fred the Godson for his 2011 mixtape, City of God.
The way City of God was put together, many questioned why Fred the Godson chose to release the project as a mixtape, as opposed to an album. Fred the Godson revealed he decided to do it as a mixtape because he did not have a deal. As his buzz increased, many expected him to reach a deal.
Last month, Fred the Godson signed with eOne Music Group and began working on his Gordo Frederico mixtape. Fred the Godson collaborated with the likes of Cory Gunz, Jeremih, Fat Joe, Lil’ Kim, Vado, and Olivia. Earlier today, Fred the Godson released the new mixtape.
