Once she released Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, Nicki Minaj faced much scrutiny from the hip hop media, who labeled her a sell-out. Dating back to the release of her debut album, Nicki Minaj has always been highly influenced by pop. Her sophomore effort, however, was panned by critics for being too long and being too pop.
Nicki Minaj lost her usual composure and engaged in numerous arguments. Among the figures who Nicki Minaj battled was New York City’s Hot 97. Peter Rosenberg and Funkmaster Flex both had choice words for Nicki Minaj, leading to her voicing herself at the rival, Power 105.1. During her interview, she revealed her album featured more rap than pop.
Now, Nicki Minaj is delivering another rap single, following “Beez in the Trap” with 2 Chainz and her most-recent “Pound the Alarm.” Nicki Minaj recently revealed her next single, “I Am Your Leader,” which features Cam’ron and Rick Ross, will be released.
