For years, Yelawolf has been a popular mixtape rapper. Despite having different rap styles, his voice pattern led to him being compared to Eminem. Many dubbed Yelawolf as the ‘Eminem of the South.’ Apparently, it was meant for Yelawolf to eventually join forces with Eminem.

After Big K.R.I.T. made a home for himself with Def Jam, Yelawolf’s potential label situations became big news topics. Not on the same scale as Maybach Music, Young Money, and G.O.O.D. Music, Eminem still had plans for Shady Records. Slaughterhouse was already on the roster and Yelawolf was added in 2011.

Yelawolf recently spoke to AllHipHop.com about various topics. They caught up with the Shady emcee at DJ Skee’s Skee Lodge Studios. Giving a very insightful interview, it was the first in a series of clips.
