Big Sean talks sophomore album with Complex

One of the biggest surprises last year was Big Sean. During a year which was dominated by the sounds of Maybach Music and Young Money, Big Sean still left a major impression. Big Sean has quickly become one of hip hop’s biggest stars. The success of Big Sean prompted Kanye West to revamp his G.O.O.D. Music.

Last summer, Kanye West signed an exclusive distribution deal with Def Jam for G.O.O.D. Music and began work on a compilation album. One year later, G.O.O.D. Music is home to three of hip hop’s most central figures. Kanye West finds himself back on top of the game, battling with his label-mate, Rick Ross, while Pusha T continues to leave his mark.

Cruel Summer, the G.O.O.D. Music compilation, is due for September 25 release. With the group album on the way, fans are wondering what is going on with Big Sean. Complex caught up with Big Sean and he spoke on his album. During the interview, Big Sean revealed his work with the popular Chief Keef producer, Young Chop, and he said the first single had already been selected, impressing Common and J. Cole.
