In the three years since he last released an album, 50 Cent has made his presence known on the mixtape scene. Long before the fame and the massive fortune, 50 Cent made his name releasing mixtapes. After teaming up with DJ Drama for his popular mixtape, The Lost Tape, 50 Cent revealed he had a new album on the way.

50 Cent announced his album, 5 (Murder by Numbers). The project was going to come with, or without, the support from Interscope Records. In the end, 5 came out without Interscope’s support. Instead of having it serve as his official fifth studio album, 50 Cent billed it a street album for his fans.

Soon after, however, 50 Cent announced Street King Immortal. On Twitter, 50 Cent stated the album would be a classic. With everything he releases automatically compared to Get Rich or Die Tryin’, 50 Cent has put a lot of effort into his new release. 50 Cent has November 13 pegged for the official release date of his new album.
