For the better part of two decades, Prodigy and Keith Murray have been bitter rap rivals. The two were both recruited by LL Cool J to be featured on the remix to his single, “I Shot Ya.” Already, Keith Murray was featured on the original and was called back for the remix.
Keith Murray took the opening verse on the song and was said to have taken shots at Prodigy, which he responded to in his verse, which followed Murray’s. Some have speculated of Prodigy also taking shots at Fat Joe, who is featured also. Of course, at the end of the song, LL Cool J takes aim at an unknown foe, some think Tupac Shakur.
Regardless, last night, a photo of Prodigy and Keith Murray, with Busta Rhymes in the middle surfaced online. Given the chummy photo, it is safe to believe the longstanding feud with Prodigy and Keith Murray is over. The two have worked with many of the same artists and time has mellowed both out.
