For nearly five years, Bangladesh has engaged in a love/hate relationship with Cash Money Records. Bangladesh played an instrumental role in Lil Wayne emerging to become the most-popular rapper in the game. Lil Wayne was solidified after the release of Tha Carter III, releasing countless hits, among them “A Milli,” produced by Bangladesh.

“A Milli” went on to become one of 2008’s biggest singles. Though the song was a success, when royalties were given out, Bangladesh came up short. Bangladesh soon filed a lawsuit against Cash Money Records. After speaking on the beef, Bangladesh reunited with Lil Wayne and produced the lead single from Tha Carter IV, “6 Foot 7 Foot,” going through the same ordeal.

Crediting himself for being the first to stand up to YMCMB, Bangladesh made his working relationship official with Cash Money when he signed to the label. The first single from his upcoming debut album, Flowers & Candy, has already leaked. In a recent interview, Bangladesh explained how he became a producer and he spoke on the new album.
