Six years ago, Jim Jones officially made the transition from Diplomat Records’ businessman to flagship artist. Jim Jones had released two albums, previously, but his breakthrough release was Hustler’s P.O.M.E. (Product of My Environment). The album contained the infectious hit, “Ballin.'”

In the time since then, Jim Jones has become one of hip hop’s more entertaining figures. Last year, Jim Jones ventured into reality television, playing a role in the popular VH1 series, “Love & Hip Hop.” Though Jim Jones did not like the cameras, he agreed to be a part of the spin-off, which stars him and girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin.

Jim Jones is still primarily focused on music, however. During a recent interview with Sway Calloway for Shade 45’s “Sway in The Morning,” Jim Jones spoke on the upcoming album from The Diplomats. Revealing the first single, Jim Jones stated Cam’ron and Lil Wayne will be on the lead single. However, Jim Jones did not reveal a release date for the project.
