The feud between Hot 97 and Power 105.1 has been ongoing. During the last two feuds between the New York City radio stations, Nicki Minaj was at the center of the issue. Early this spring, Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap” single, featuring 2 Chainz premiered on Hot 97 during Funkmaster Flex’s show. During his show, Funkmaster Flex said he stole the world premiere of the song from Power 105.1’s DJ Clue.

After Funkmaster Flex’s comments, the early weeks of April were filled with Twitter exchanged from the two DJs. The case has been similar following Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012 when Young Money pulled out of their performances. Before Nicki Minaj was set to take the stage, Peter Rosenberg had negative things to say about “Starships.” Almost immediately, Lil Wayne got on Twitter and said Young Money would not perform.

Since then, Nicki Minaj has been dissed by Hot 97 and went to Power 105.1 to state her side of the story, thus bringing them into the feud. Following a number of rumors Power 105.1 has started about Hot 97’s personalities, including revealing personal information about Funkmaster Flex, Peter Rosenberg hits back. Recently, it was revealed he tried to ask out Angela Yee and now he has revealed Charlamagne tha God asked Hot 97’s K Foxx out.
