Chox-Mak to release “Boom Bap” project on July 1

Outside of hip hop, things are changing. For the most part, everything has been judged by region. But, with the internet now just as widespread as cable television and people living in all parts of the world, region matters less by the day. In military cities, this is often the case.

Two notable military cities in the South happen to be in the same state, North Carolina. Recently, J. Cole rose to stardom, but sounds more like he is from New York City than Eastern North Carolina. The same can be said for Chox-Mak of Jacksonville. It is rare to see an emcee who actually values lyrics, more rare is an appreciation for the old school.

Chox-Mak has been on a roll throughout 2012. Earlier this year, Chox-Mak released his two Nine Eleven mixtapes, with a third on the way, and he has also delivered a hit single, “The One For Me.” A sequel to the song is in the works for his new project, Boom Bap.

Initially, Chox-Mak intended for the project to be an EP, but it ended up being extended. Regardless, Boom Bap is one of the most-anticipated mixtape releases in the area. The project is set to be released on July 1.
