Having spent over twenty years in the rap game and clashing with many of the biggest titans of each era, Nas is still here. In actuality, Nas may be more relevant now than he has been in years. While such newcomers as French Montana and A$AP Rocky have experienced success and have helped return New York to hip hop’s forefront, it can be argued that Nas is having more of an impact. In the eyes of some, there is a tie between Nas and Jadakiss for the “king of New York” title.
Currently, Nas is preparing his tenth studio album, Life is Good, which has leaked several popular tracks. With the album due in a little over a month, Nas has stepped out of his comfort zone and has appeared on a number of tracks. Among the new people Nas has been working with includes Nicki Minaj. Nas also appeared in the music video for her Chris Brown-assisted “Right By My Side.” Their coziness in the music video led to rumors starting.
