Suddenly, the North Carolina hip hop scene is breaking into the mainstream. The primary focus is still on J. Cole, but there are a number of other rappers in the area who are on the verge of stardom. Among those names include Stranga the Great, King Mez, and Lo Keys. For nearly a year, Lo Keys has had much media attention for the music he has released.
For months, Lo Keys has been working on the follow-up to his The Green Hornet mixtape. The new project from Lo Keys is called American Greed: Scams, Schemes, and Broken Dreams. Already, Lo Keys has released over five singles from the mixtape and has more in store. On the verge of stardom, Lo Keys’ music from this project has been featured on many hip hop media outlets.
Lo Keys has a number of people backing him on this new release. Big Mike and DJ Woogie are hosting the new mixtape. Featuring a number of big names, Lo Keys shares tracks with Killa Kyleon, Prodigy, Glasses Malone, Jon Connor, Los, and many others. The official release date for American Greed is July 6 and the project is sponsored by popular mixtape website, DatPiff.
