Yesterday, DJ Mystik teamed up with DJ J Dub for the release of their Avengers project. The project featured a compilation of songs from some of the hottest rappers in the game. Among the big name rappers featured on the project were Future and 2 Chainz. With both DJ Mystik and DJ J Dub having large, growing, fan bases, projections for the mixtape were high.
Less than 24 hours since the rleease of Avengers, it has already become a popular topic on Twitter, with links being shared on both Twitter and Facebook. DJ Mystik has planned for the summer of 2012 to be the period he dominated. Given the reaction to Avengers, it seems as if he is getting the response he was looking for.
Hip Hop Vibe briefly spoke to DJ Mystik today about how he feels about the success of the mixtape, thus far. DJ Mystik said he is pleased to see the mixtape posted on several mixtape download sites and to be all over Facebook and Twitter. Furthermore, DJ Mystik has expressed pleasure in the number of downloads the project has received.
