Though a major success in the United States with a strong passion for the city of Miami, Drake has not forgotten where he comes from. On nearly every song, Drake reminds the listener of his native city, Toronto. Drake emerged from Toronto at a time when the city is gaining recognition from all over the world.
When Drake released his 2010 debut album, Thank Me Later, he rapped about never missing the OVO Fest. Two years later, Drake is now two albums deep in the rap game, with a third on the way, and preparing for the OVO Fest. Drake recently revealed the festival would take place on August 5 of this year.
Via Twitter, Drake revealed the lineup of performers for the 2012 OVO Fest. The list of performers include A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, and The Weeknd. Drake went on to tweet the festival would be held in the greatest city of the world. Obviously, the city Drake was tweeting about was Toronto.
