Lil Wayne launches “TRUKFIT” clothing line at Macy’s in Los Angeles

Earlier this year, Lil Wayne announced his new clothing line, TRUKFIT. Long establishing himself as one of the central figures in hip hop, one thing Lil Wayne lacked was his own clothing line. Many emcees follow the prototype started by Jay-Z, leading their own record labels and owning various businesses. Despite the love/hate relationship, Lil Wayne has been greatly inspired by the efforts of the elder Carter.

Last week, several hip hop outlets reported of Lil Wayne’s TRUKFIT clothing line landing a deal to be placed in Macy’s. Considered one of the more high-end retail stores, landing in Macy’s was a major win for Lil Wayne’s clothing line. With things going well for the overall Cash Money Records, it came as no surprise when TRUKFIT was picked up by Macy’s. Lil Wayne is not the only member of the YMCMB movement to launch a clothing line, as Tyga has too.

Recently, Lil Wayne was in Los Angeles and he stopped at Macy’s during his appearance in celebration of the official launch of his clothing line. Lil Wayne did a personal meet and greet.
