Shyne starts petition to return to the United States

At one point, Shyne was considered the second coming of The Notorious B.I.G., despite the two looking nothing like each other. But, over the record, the two sounded eerily similar to each other and were from Brooklyn. Perhaps, Puff Daddy (now Diddy) realized this when he signed Shyne to Bad Boy Records.

Shyne got off to an incredible start, quickly becoming the new face of Bad Boy Records. The young rapper from Brooklyn was now suddenly partying with multi-millionaires and was on a first-name basis with Jennifer Lopez. It was one of those nights when things fell apart for Shyne when an altercation at Club New York led to him spending the better of a decade in prison.

Exactly what happened has not been released to the public, but the relationship between Shyne and his boss declined. While in prison, Shyne left Bad Boy Records and when he was close to being releaseed, he called Diddy out. Barely out of prison, Shyne was deported and has spent the past two and a half years in his father’s native Belize, where he has reverted to Judiasm.

The experience has been humbling for Shyne, but he now wants to return to the United States and properly re-start his career.
