Back in the spotlight, Lupe Fiasco is preparing for the release of his fourth studio album, Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album. Lupe Fiasco has been discussing the lead single, “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free),” for weeks. This week, the single was officially released.

Upon being delivered, critics and fans strongly accepted the single. Everyone was impressed with Lupe Fiasco’s new music. The only person who voiced distaste for the single was Pete Rock. His “T.R.O.Y.” single is sampled in “Around My Way” and Pete Rock took to his Twitter to vent about Lupe Fiasco and the producer of the single.

Lupe Fiasco briefly spoke on the feud with Pete Rock before the legend announced the feud was over and he would be working with Lupe. Earlier today, Lupe Fiasco spoke with “Sway in the Morning” and it turns out things are still not perfect between he and Pete Rock. The sample has been cleared, but Lupe Fiasco said things have not been resolved and Pete Rock should not have mentioned their collaboration so soon.
