Two years ago, Curren$y was picked to revive Roc-A-Fella Records. It seemed as if everything came together when Damon Dash was reportedly hired by Def Jam to run Roc-A-Fella. At the time, there were even rumors of Jay-Z re-joining the company. Instead of a New York City or Philadelphia emcee heading up the new label, Curren$y was selected as the flagship artist.

After two releases in the same year with Roc-A-Fella Records, Curren$y moved on and signed a new deal with Warner Bros. Records. With Warner Bros. Records being more focused on hip hop, the move proved to be a good one for Curren$y. A few weeks ago, surprising news came from Curren$y when he revealed he had a lawsuit against Damon Dash.

Damon Dash, from the beginning, said there were no real personal issues between him and his former artist. During his conversation with Vlad TV, earlier today, Curren$y revealed he has been speaking with his former label head. While the two are battling in court, it does seem as if the personal relationship has remained intact.
