Over the past year, Mac Miller has taken his blend of party rapping and old school hip hop from the underground to the mainstream. Along the way, Mac Miller has broken records for independent artists. When an artist is popular, label status does not matter, but Mac Miller is historic for turning down a major label for his debut album.
From the outside looking in, it is all about the party for Mac Miller. Most of his records center around simply having a good time. While Mac Miller does not display a negative persona, he is not necessarily someone many would consider a role model. However, not being a role model does not make Mac Miller a bad person.
Mac Miller has proven it is not all party with him when he made a dream come true for an eighteen-year-old singer who is a fan of his. The teen is suffering from lymphona and Mac Miller recorded with the singer. Mac Miller met the teen when he donated to the “Make a Wish Foundation” in 2011.
