Shawnna explains hiatus, relationship with Ludacris, and comeback with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

In 2009, Ludacris prepared to collaborate with Shawnna on their long-awaited Battle of the Sexes album. As the recording for the album began, Shawnna left her longtime label, Disturbing tha Peace, in favor of T-Pain’s label, Nappy Boy. Leaving Ludacris’ label, Shawnna was reduced to a featured guest on the album, which was revamped to become the seventh studio album from Ludacris.

After leaving Disturbing tha Peace for Nappy Boy, Shawnna disappeared from the spotlight. Many have questioned where Shawnna went and the status of her relationship with Ludacris. Given the way she left his label, many feel there is friction between the two. However, Ludacris has rarely gotten into beef throughout his career.

Shawnna is preparing to release comeback material in 2012 and she caught up with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” to discuss her comeback, her two-year-old daughter, and her relationship with Ludacris.
