A month ago, it looked as if the end of Mobb Deep was near. Several posts from Havoc’s Twitter were saying negative things about Prodigy. With hackers looming across Twitter, many believed it was a fraud. Hip hop media soon began covering the Twitter rant and reportedly received confirmation from Havoc that it was him making the posts.

Even when Mobb Deep appeared together at the New York Knicks’ game, many still felt there was some truth to the posts. Prodigy eventually spoke with the media about the Twitter rant, denying they came from Havoc. However, Prodigy said the Twitter posts did generate free publicity, so Mobb Deep did “milk” the situation.

With the controversy in the past, Prodigy refocused his energy back to H.N.I.C. 3., his third studio album. Currently, “Rhyme or Reason” is doing well, with the music video recently being released and the Queens rapper is still looking forward. Via Twitter, Prodigy revealed the release date for his project to be July 3.
