In a hip hop game, which had become stagnant, B.o.B. added new energy to the rap game, changing the way many thought of T.I.’s Grand Hustle Records. B.o.B. was not into the hardcore rap, but he was far from a pushover, calling out Tyler, the Creator for dissing his music and two of his collaborators. In 2010, B.o.B. took fans on The Adventures of Bobby Ray, as the album was met with critical acclaim.

Last year, B.o.B. was rather silent, as he had no new music out. As previously mentioned, the gloves were off after B.o.B. heard Tyler, the Creator’s “Yonkers.” After a brief feud with the Odd Future frontman, B.o.B. returned to the shadows. During the summer of 2011, T.I. warned of a strong comeback. T.I. released a single in late June, which featured B.o.B., called “We Don’t Get Down Like Y’all.”

Before the close of the year, B.o.B. revealed he was close to completing his own new album and released his single. This project has since taken six more months, but B.o.B. intends to release his Strange Clouds album on May 1. Always confident, B.o.B. spoke on the album, via Twitter, telling his followers and others who read his tweet Stange Clouds is the album of the year.
