Six years ago, Lil Wayne revealed he was working with Juelz Santana on a project called I Can’t Feel My Face. Initially, the project was supposed to be a mixtape, but after working so closely with each other, the two decided to come together for a collaborative album. The two began recording, but neither rapper released an official album for years. Lil Wayne returned in 2008 as the most-popular rapper in the game.
At the peak of his run, Lil Wayne, who obligated himself to five collaborative albums, was sent to prison and when he returned he had to finally deliver Tha Carter IV. While Lil Wayne released platinum albums and introduced Young Money to the world, Juelz Santana was on a hiatus. Seven years have passed since the last Juelz Santana album was released.
Every year, Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana announce their joint effort, but something usually hinders them from actually releasing the projects. The latest attempt to complete the album led to Lil Wayne recording the second edition of his 2010 album, I Am Not a Human Being. Lil Wayne revealed this during his latest interview with MTV on “Hip Hop POV.”
